Why Guangzhou

1. Guangzhou has long been China’s most important port and trading hub for imports and exports. Today, it continues to serve this important function by supplying products for China consumers, as well as many different national communities residing and doing business in Guangzhou.


2. As one of the most important exhibition cities in China, Guangzhou held a total of 690 exhibitions in 2019, taking up a total exhibition area of 10.24 million square meters.


3. Guangzhou has seen a full recovery of the exhibition industry, following a disruption caused by the COVID-19 epidemic in the first half-year. The Guangzhou Municipal Bureau of Commerce stated on August 11 that the exhibition industry in Guangzhou had returned to normal, with some hotels’ occupancy rates exceeding 80%. Figures available from the Guangzhou Municipal Commerce Bureau suggested that from the beginning of July to August 11, exhibition halls in Guangzhou Pazhou area / the city's exhibition area of Pazhou successfully hosted 36 exhibitions, with a total exhibition area of 900,000 square meters and a total of approximately 700,000 exhibitors and visitors.
